First banknote series (1907)

During the period between the establishment of the Swiss National Bank and the opening of its counters, there was not enough time to create new banknotes. It was therefore decided to print the first notes, the so-called interim notes, according to the pattern used by earlier banks of issue, adding an overprint in the form of a red rosette with the Swiss cross.
